Seton Motley on Why the Tea Party Should Care about Net Neutrality

by Mike Wendy on October 21, 2010

Seton Motley – President of Less – provides his perspective on why the Tea Party should care about Net Neutrality regulations coming out of the FCC.

Seton Motley’s comments are excellent, right to the point and finely articulated. Obama promised hope and change, but with a government run by czars, executive orders and Agency fiats, we the people are watching our freedoms vanish and our constitutional rights disappear. Net Neutrality is yet another way to restrain capitalism and make this administration the CIC (Censor in Chief) of cyber thought and commerce. Woe betide us all if it becomes fact.

He is so right, and I hope people will listen. A group of us attended a meeting sponsored by a leftist organization (to see just what they were up to), and the questions they asked the group in their survey was outrageous. Questions like do you think people like Rush Limbaugh should be removed from the “public” airwaves? Why should the airwaves be free? That was a roundabout way of saying conservative radio should be charged big bucks to be on the radio. The internet is part of the net neutrality agenda of this administration and the lefties on the FCC. Where is the ACLU?

Net Neutrality is a good thing if you support freedom of ideas…it means that Time Warner cable internet, for example, cannot throttle down or even block access to Fox News, to push content and ads from Time Warner’s own sites, like CNN. Lack of Net Neutrality is a step back to the bad old days (Think AOL in 1995) where Internet companies want to discourage you from accessing any content other than their’s.

Franks’s comment is nonsense.

Net Neutrality is all about forcing private business out of the internet and ushering in Government takeover. This is the factual ideology from the Socialists pushing for “Net Neutrality”.

The leftists like Frank are simply twisting the facts around and upside down just like all good Communist Party memebbers have done throughout history. There is no need for FCC regulation of the internet – PERIOD!

You and your dimwitted constituents need to stop cluttering up the airways and news outlets with your anti-social slop.
